professional. To keep costs reasonable for you, the user, we build according
to the following guidelines.
- Tower only, you already have access to a keyboard, mouse
and monitor.
- No software. You can install the various Operating Systems
and Forensic Software the way you want to.
- We provide the widest possible array of storage devices
in these towers to access any type of storage media you are likely to
come across
These workstations are not some old, off the shelf design,
but the specs evolve as new standards and hardware become available to
the criminals, whose cyber activities you are trying to investigate. Current
specifications for these workstations include the following:
- Intel chipset based motherboard
- Pentium 4 CPU at speeds above 3.0 GHz
- One GB or more of memory
- Boot drive is a high speed serial ATA drive for maximum
access speed to your operating system files.
- Removable mobile drives bays for suspect drives, which
include two parallel ATA bays with one bay being hardware write-protected,
one mobile Serial ATA bay, one mobile SCSI bay.
- One DVD +- Recordable drive
- One 11-in-1 flash card reader.
- One portable 12-in-1 flash card reader that is in read
only mode
